Message	brake pads has been a non-issue for me. What you may gain by fractionally increasing the surface area of the brake pad used, you may lose in leverage force by moving the brake pad closer to the hub. The radius or curve of the brake pad and the rotor will never match perfectly since the calipers are stock and the rotors are bigger.
